The Mitland Plan
The Mitland Plan was designed from research conducted by Dr Sarah Butler during her doctoral studies. She descovered that intensive delivery of evidenced based tretaments was just as effective as weekly sessions and clients often preferred this approach to therapy. Intenisve therapy programmes are well established in Europe and in the USA. The Mitland Plan hopes to take the guesswork out of therapy in several ways: by providing trained therapists who specialise in intensive therapy, access to high-quality resources to support you in preparation, and during intensive therapy, and recommendations for after-care options.
NHS-approved therapies
When you join The Mitland Plan you can be sure you will receive treatment that is researched and proven to help with a variety of difficulties including trauma and PTSD. The three approved therapies are CBT, EMDR, and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET).
High quality client resources
We strive to provide high quality resources using the latest research and practice. We want to support you through every step of your treatment starting with finding the right therapist, preparing you for intensive therapy, through to suggestions for support at the end of therapy.
Experienced therapists
Our therapists are selected for their skills and experience. They are qualified in at least one of the trauma-focussed therapies and undertake extra, specialist training in trauma. After care options
We are always looking to collaborate with expert clinicians to bring a wide range of options for you care after intensive therapy. We do this by providing free resources, and discounts on various activities.
Fees
We want to make things as simple and transparent as possible.
The Mitland Plan costs £1800 and includes:
